Kathmandu, July 10, 2017: Ever wondered if robots could actually greet and guide you in a bank in Nepal? Your wait is over now.
Nepal SBI Bank has recently deployed a robot at its Durbarmarg branch. The robot named ‘Pari’ will guide the customers for different banking transactions.
The Durbarmarg branch of the bank is the first inTouch branch all over the world to have a robot greet and assist people in banking, as per the bank’s press statements.
Pari is the first commercial humanoid robot designed and manufactured in Nepal. Developed by Paaila Technology, Pari was created to fulfill the role of a lobby manager assisting customers by verbally explaining the bank’s functionalities. This robot will help the customer know about the business through sound and an interactive touch screen software.

The robot was developed by a team of young developers at Paaila Technology namely Rabin Giri, Niraj Basnet, Wasim Akram Khan, Aayush Kasajoo, Sagar Shrestha, Dipkamal Bhusal, Bibek Bhandari, Trishik Shrestha, and Rabi Basnet.
