Kathmandu, 5th January: Â Revenue collection has increased by 22.67 per cent in the first five months of the current fiscal year.
A total of Rs 142 billion was collected in the first five months against the target of collecting Rs 422 billion in the fiscal year 2014/15, according to the Ministry of Finance. The government target for the first five months was Rs 136 billion.
Of the Rs 142 billion collected in the first five months, Rs 128 billion was from tax revenue while Rs 13.69 billion was from non-tax revenue.
The revenue collection increased by Rs 22.2 billion compared to the same period last fiscal year. RSS
