Butwal proclaim ‘street people free’


Bhairahawa:  Butwal Sub-metropolitan City proclaimed ‘street people free city’ on Saturday with a commitment to providing support to helpless, homeless, orphan and street-people. The program was organized in Butwal.

The Mayor of the sub-metropolis, Hon. Mr. Shiva Raj Subedi announced that no people would be left helpless in the streets of Butwal. On the occasion, he also administered an oath to all present at the program to co-operate the sub-metropolis and ‘Human Service Ashram’ to make the campaign a success.

Addressing the program, Province 5 Minister for Internal Affairs and law, Honorable Mr. Kul Prasad KC said it was the government’s responsibility to feed and clothe street people.

Likewise, Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment, Hon. Mr. Lila Giri and Minister for Social Development, Hon. Mr. Sudarshan Baral also committed to launching the campaign throughout the province.
