Kathmandu, Jan 26: Today’s meeting of the Council of Ministers has decided to form a committee under the chairmanship of Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mahendra Bahadur Pandey, to celebrate the diamond jubilee of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and China.

The meeting held at Singha Durbar decided to assign Residential Ambassador of Nepal to Canada, Kali Prasad Pokharel, as a permanent representative to the International Civil Aviation Organisation, said Minister for Information and Communications, Dr Minendra Rijal.

Similarly, the government has also appointed Joint-Secretary at the Forests and Soil Conservation, Krishna Prasad Acharya, to the post of Chairman of the Nepal Timber Corporation Ltd Nepal and Birendra Kumar Yadav to the post of General Manager until additional arrangements are made.

The meeting also appointed Gopal Babahdur Khadka to the post of Director of the Nepal Oil Corporation, Purna Shanker BC as the General Manager of the National Trading Limited and Kumar KC as the General Manager of the Nepal Transit and Warehousing Company Ltd, added Minister Rijal, who is also the Spokesperson of the government.

Likewise, the meeting also decided to give consent for signing of agreements between the Nepal Music and Drama Academy and the Music Drama Academy, India, and Nepal Fine Arts Academy and Fine Arts Academy, India.
