Kathmandu, February 23, 2018: In order to ignite the self-responsibility in Nepali youth for public service by nurturing their collaboration Daayitwa Nepal has opened up its application for ‘Daayitwa Nepal Public Service Fellowship 2018’. The early deadline to submit the application is February 28, 2018, and the late deadline to submit the application is March 21, 2018.

Daayitwa’s mission is to strengthen Nepalese public system by enabling youths and public leader to promote innovation in governance for a thriving Nepal, and it also focuses on three major discipline, i.e. promoting inclusive and enterprise-driven economic growth, strengthening governance of public service delivery, and fostering resilience in local communities.

The major key objective of the fellowship is to help the fellows understand and strengthen the functioning of public sector institutions by providing first-hand working experience with concerned bodies.

Eligibility

-Have high academic achievement (rigorous university, high GPA, coursework rigor);

-Masters in Economics, Finance, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Agriculture or related fields;

-Undergraduates with exceptional academic and research work;

-Policy analysis and research work in international or national setting;

-Passion, interest and a personal sense of Daayitwa for Nepal’s development;

-Demonstrated leadership or active participation in Nepal-related initiatives or issues.

‘Daayitwa’ is an initiative that facilitates the process of national transformation by providing youths an opportunity to work with the government on high priority national projects henceforth, instilling the culture of collaboration between and among youths, political representatives, private sector supports and the government. Daayitwa (self-responsibility) predicts a flourishing Nepal where all citizen embrace their responsibilities to collectively transform societal challenges into innovative opportunities. Towards this vision, Daayitwa is building a movement of young leaders who are guided by shared values of collaborating, innovating, and serving to create solutions to tackle systemic issues in Nepal.
