Kathmandu, October 24, 2017: After the successful completion of EmpowHER for three consecutive years and grooming 42 young women in Nepal, Ujyalo Foundation has rolled out EmpowHER Junior program.

EmpowHER Junior is a special program for adolescent girls between the ages of 12-16 years to learn idea incubation and leadership.

Initiated in 2015, EmpowHER’s goal is to increase the number of young women in leadership and decision-making roles in Nepal. The three-months-long fellowship challenges the conventional notions of beauty, culture, and intelligence, by emphasizing on qualities and skills that make women resilient, adaptive, and confident to overcome social and personal barriers to become a positive agent of change.

Let’s provide an opportunity and encourage our sisters and daughters to learn, explore and get empowered from a young age.

EmpowHER provides a strong platform for young women to effectively and safely exercise leadership in Nepal.
