The World Culture Forum (WCF) 2016 is an initiative organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture, Republic of Indonesia, and will be held in Bali, from 10 to 14 October 2016. Previously, the 1st WCF was held in Bali, from 24 to 27 November 2013, organized and hosted by the Government of Indonesia under the patronage of UNESCO.
The World Culture Forum (WCF) 2016 will include a series of keynote addresses, symposiums on culture-related issues, a cultural carnival, and a parallel international youth forum on culture. The platform aims to create a space to discuss, debate, and contest established ideas and approaches in order to recommend new pathways for locating culture as an integral part of sustainable development, ethical frameworks for ensuring community engagement and stakeholder benefits, mutual understanding and respect among different cultures, qualitative and quantitative cultural indicators for measuring sustainable development, and the building of a harmonious “glocal†society.
The International Youth Forum calling for 200 youth representatives from 50 countries to join as participants of IYF. All participants will receive full funding. In addition, IYFÂ are also opening an opportunity to join IYF as facilitators who will assist coaches in facilitating group activities throughout the event.
Eligibility requirements for participants and facilitators are listed below:
Local Participant:
- 18 – 26 years old
- Highly motivated and passionate at least on the theme of IYF or the sub themes
- Flexible and open-minded
- Fully available for the entire program duration
- Fluent in English (please enclose the ITP certificate preferably with minimum score of 500)
- Active in organization or attended the symposium in cultural aspect at least 3 years
Foreign Participant:
- 18 – 26 years old
- Highly motivated and passionate at least on the theme of IYF or the sub themes
- Flexible and open-minded
- Fully available for the entire program duration
- Fluent in English (please enclose the IBT certificate preferably with minimum score of 80 or IELTS certificate preferably with minimum score of 6.00)
- Active in Youth organization in local level or regional level or international level in origin country
- Active in organization or attended the symposium in cultural aspect at least 3 years
Facilitator:
- 23 – 35 years old
- Highly motivated and passionate at least on the theme of IYF or two of the sub themes
- Flexible and open-minded
- Fully available for the entire program duration and sometime earlier for preparation
- Experienced in group leading in regional level or more
- Experienced in international team or group leading or facilitation or support in NFE approach.
- Fluent in English, (please enclose the IBT certificate preferably with minimum score of 85 or IELTS certificate preferably with minimum score of 6.5)
Cost:
Participation in World Culture Forum 2016 is free of charge. The forum is funded by the Government of Indonesia under the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. The official committee already provide an accommodation and local transportation during the event for all invited guests, invited delegates and selected public participants.

- Register yourself as public participant if you do not have invitation letter from World Cultural Forum 2016. The selected participant will be announced in September, 15th 2016.

Selection Process:
- WCF Committee will select participants based on the judgement of a selection committee composed of members of Steering Committee. WCF reserves the right to select and reject applications.
- The members of selection committee will rate the applicants as YES (proceed to shortlisting) or NO (will not proceed to shortlisting).
- The successful applicants will receive an ACCEPTANCE letter, after which they can continue to officially register for We will announce successful participants on September 15th, 2016.
