Campaign launched to link academic institutions, startup companies, and young students

‘Linking Turnaround: with Five Starts’, A 90-days long campaign with entrepreneurs and students

Kathmandu, January 17, 2017: With an aim to contribute towards improving the entrepreneurship ecosystem by establishing linkages between Startups and MBA students, Antarprerana Pvt. Ltd. on January 15 launched a three-months long intensive campaign titled- ‘Linking Turnaround: with Five Starts. The campaign initiates and promotes a startup movement in Nepal with the slogan ‘Enterprising and Self-sustaining’ linking academic institutions, creative startups, and the young students.

Niraj Khanal, CEO of Antarprerana expresses his hope that the initiative will create a movement to support the growth of the startups, and also advance the exposure and experience of students to get the first-hand experiences. Talking amidst the launching ceremony, he urged for more collaboration from all the stakeholders to create a balanced and prosperous entrepreneurship ecosystem.

The campaign will provide the Startups supported by Antarprerana with an opportunity to scale up and develop strategies for their growth. At the same time, the students will benefit by getting the first-hand experiences working with the Startups.

As part of the campaign, a team of twenty-five students, five each from different colleges will be matched with five startup companies. The five colleges include King’s College, Ace Institute of Management, Global College International, NAMI College and CG Institute of Management. Whereas, the five startups are ETON Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Clean Facility Management Pvt. Ltd., Admark Pvt. Ltd., Bitter Sweet Pvt. Ltd., and Online Aushadhi Pvt. Ltd.

ETON is an IT-based company, which develops software for schools. Clean Facility Management deals with providing facility services the cleaning business. Admark publishes a monthly Real Estate magazine named ‘Property’ and also works in other media sectors. Bitter Sweet produces home-made chocolates. And, Online Ausadhi is an enterprise providing medicines through online services with no delivery charge.

“This is a historic movement of creating entrepreneurs in Nepal, which will change the ecosystem of entrepreneurship,” said Mr. Om Rajbhandary, Chairman of Brihat Group and Antarprerana putting forward his remarks on the occasion.

Antarprerana, established in 2015, is a private company that supports entrepreneurs through investment and mentorship in Nepal.
