Lumbini (Rupandehi), Dec 28:Â Normal life in the district has been adversely affected due to chilling cold and wave since last week.
Children, senior citizens and workers are badly affected and are compelled to stay indoors due to the cold.
With the fall in temperature, number of the patients suffering common cold and respiratory problems are found increasing in the areas.
Prior to this, some schools have announced winter vacation while service recipients in government offices have been affected.
Daily flights from Bhairahawa to Kathmandu have also been affected for the past few days.
Locals are found making them warm by sitting around bonfire in the morning and evening in different squares at the areas.
