Kathmandu, Dec 26: Visiting Chinese Minister for Foreign Affairs, Wang Yi, has extended an invitation to Prime Minister Sushil Koirala for China visit.
Calling on PM Koirala at Singha Durbar on Friday, the Chinese Foreign Minister extended the invitation for China visit to the PM, PM Koirala’s foreign affairs advisor Dr Dinesh Bhattarai told the National News Agency (RSS).
On the occasion, Yi said that China was ready to provide assistance for Nepal’s development and stressed for peace and stability in Nepal.
Saying that infrastructure development was crucial for Nepal’s development, the Chinese Minister also urged to utilize China’s investment in Nepal.
PM’s advisor on foreign affairs, Dr Bhattarai added that China was in favour of the timely promulgation of the constitution in Nepal, and Nepal was in China’s priority list.
On the occasion, PM Koirala lauded Chinese assistance to Nepal’s development and reaffirmed Nepal’s pledge to one-China policy.
Likewise, Prime Minister Koirala told the visiting Chinese Minister that different programmes would be organized next year on the 60th anniversary of Nepal-China diplomatic ties.
Similarly, PM Koirala extended invitation for Nepal visit to Chinese President Xi Jinping and expressed gratitude for China’s priority to Nepal in its recently unveiled foreign policy by President Xi.
