Kathmandu, Oct 21: General Secretary of the China NGO Network for International Exchanges, Mr You Jianhua, called on Prime Minister Sushil Koirala at his residence in Baluwater today.
In the meeting, they held talks on Nepal-China relations, China’s developoment achievements, the ongoing constitution writing process in Nepal, Nepal’s development endeavours and the people-to-people ties between the two countries.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Koirala said since Nepal is always willing to maintain cordial relations with its neighbouring and friendly countries, it wanted to promote cooperation also. He said despite attaching priority to constitution writing, the present government was simultaneously pursuing durable peace, political stability, institutional development of democracy and the socio-economic development.
PM Koirala said he was hopeful of sufficient Chinese investment in the hydroelectricity, tourism, agriculture and infrastructure development sectors. During the meeting, General Secretary You spoke highly of the progress made in peace, stability, constitution writing and creation of environment for development in Nepal under PM Koirala’s leadership.
