Chinese team conducting feasibility study on goldmine in Jajarkot

Jajarkot, January 25, 2016: A Chinese company has started the feasibility study of gold mines on the banks of Bheri River in Jajarkot district.

Dharmashree Mines is conducting the study at Dhalla Khalanga and Jagatipur in the district under the leadership of Chinese national Sung Ping.

The team has drilled a 150 ft hole for the study but no progress is traced so far, the Chinese national said. The team is expected to stay three more months in Jajarkot.

The Chinese firm has also constructed the 2-km long road to reach the digging site with necessary equipments.

Bhoj Kumar Tamang, a Nepali team member, said that the types of stones and other minerals extracted from the site would be sent to the company’s headquarters for further investigations.
