Birgunj (Parsa), 5 Dec 2014: Parsa and surrounding districts have felt a sudden increase in cold since Thursday.
With the dip in temperature, normal life in the central Terai has been affected. The sudden cold spell has affected life in Bara, Parsa and Rautahat, among other adjoining districts.
The locals have seen foggy days since Thursday adding to the cold. Children and old people have been affected the most by the cold. People are seen in less numbers in the market due to the cold.
Meanwhile, flights have been affected due to the cold at the Simara Airport in Bara district. Flights to and from the airport were halted from 7 to 11 am today due to low visibility, according to Suraj Bisankhe, the Acting Chief at the Airport.
