Pokhara, December 8, 2016: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Jeevan Bahadur Shahi has highlighted the need of collaborative efforts from all sides and agencies concerned for the development of tourism sector.
At an interaction with the representatives of tourism related agencies in Pokhara on Wednesday evening under the aegis of Pokhara Tourism Council, he said as Nepal has vast potential of tourism it can be a major basis of economic prosperity of the country.
The construction of Pokhara International Airport has been slowed because its foundation stone was laid before the preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR), Minister said, adding the construction will take pace once the technical works are completed.
