Melamchi,6 Feb 2015: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Federal Affairs and Local Development Prakash Man Singh on Friday said the constitution would be issued through the voting process if parties fall short of forging consensus.
Inaugurating the first Town Council programme of the Melamchi Municipality in Sindhupalchowk, DPM Singh underscored the need for a written constitution for ushering in political stability in the country.
The minister termed the stalemate dogging the country’s move towards development as resulting from political instability and added that there is no alternative to a constitution for the country’s political stability and development.
“The national politics is going through a transition and the country can make a u-turn for development at the quickest time with its end,” Singh said. He further said a democratic constitution was a compulsion for political stability which was an essential factor for development.
