Bhaktapur,17 Feb 2015: Minister for Industry Mahesh Basnet on Tuesday urged the agitating parties to return to a negotiating table with an aim of issuing the constitution within the next three month.
The Minister laid the foundation stone of a multi-purpose building being constructed by Jyotilingeswhor Mahadev Temple Area Development Organization at Jhaulkehl in Changunarayan Municipality-5 and said agitation was not a way to draft a constitution.
Minister Basnet said the opposition parties would be persuaded to join the constitution making process and draft the constitution within the next three month. He urged the opposition leaders to transform into late UML leader Madan Bhandari by shunning the agitation.
The Minister urged the agitating leaders to follow the example of Bhandari, who had refrained from obstructing the constitution writing in 1990 by presenting a note of dissent.
The organization is constructing a Shivalaya, Devalaya, a community building and an elderly home at a total cost of Rs 130 million.
Coordinator of the project Shyam Sundar Dhimal said the area would be developed as a religious tourist destination after completion of the construction of the infrastructures.
