Kathmandu, Feb 1: Deputy Prime Minister Pakash Man Singh has said the country would get the new constitution adhering to the due process.
Inaugurating the 35th anniversary programme of the Dillibazar-based Kanya Multiple Campus this morning, DPM Singh said, “We lost the first Constituent Assembly, so we must not squander time to bring the constitution from the present CA following due process.”
Also the Minister for Federal Affairs ad Local Development, DPM Singh said it was sheer disrespect of the people when the opposition parties objected to the ongoing process at the CA based on the regulation. Objection would ultimately prove harmful to the opposition, he added.
On a different note, the DPM appreciated the role the Campus played in educational development by catering quality education. Quality education was essential for this competitive age, he stressed.
On the occasion, CA members Sabitra Bhushal and Bikram Thapa, and former minister Hom Nath Dahal, journalist Damodar Gautam and former principal of the campus, Aparajita Aryal, said the Campus played a leading role on enhancement of women’s access to education.
Students with performing best were given prizes on the occasion where a souvenir Pushpanjali was also released.
Kanya Campus Model Campus in Kathmandu Valley
The Campus was established in 2037 BS to ensure women’s access to higher education with the joint initiatives of the social workers and the educationists.
With very pleasant academic ambience, good results and low fee structure, the Campus attracts many women students every year, said Professor Baburam Poudel, claiming it is a model campus in the capital Valley.
Catering quality education on low fee, it has challenged the private campus which impose exorbitant fee. As per the Tribhuvan University evaluation, Kanya Multiple Campus has stood the best for seven times.
The education in the Campus is proved excellent with the 60 percent success result in the bachelor’s level while 90 percent in the master’s level. The campus has educational programmes running under the management, arts and education faculties. It has run the master’s programmes under the faculties of the arts, education and management.
