Banepa, 22 Nov 2014: All preparations for retreat of the Heads of State and Governments at Dhulikhel in course of SAARC Summit have been completed.
According to the District Administration Office, Kavrepalanchowk, two helipads have been built as well as repair and maintenance works of Dhulikhel Bus Park to Gaukhareshwor Temple have also been carried out.
A team under the leadership of Nepal Army constructed the helipads at Bhattedanda of Dhulikhel Municipality-1. Test flights have already been made at the helipads.
Local Development Officer Prem Prasad Bhattarai said the DDC provided Rs 1 million for the construction of helipads as a loan.
The unsystematic parking was removed to make the city systematic after the retreat of the Heads of State and Governments of SAARC countries was scheduled at Dhulikhel.
Chief District Officer Kedar Neupane said all preparations for retreat have been completed and added that it is the matter of prestige for the district.
There is a trend that Heads of State and Governments are taken for a retreat after inauguration of the SAARC summit for creating environment conducive for bilateral meetings, if possible.
