Construction of bridge over Kaligandaki River begins


Rampur (Palpa), May 10, 2016: The construction of a concrete bridge over the Kaligandaki River has started.

The bridge is to be constructed at Gaurighat that connects Rampur municipality-9 and Sankhar VDC-9 of Syangja at the government investment of Rs 151.1 million.

Engineer Pabitra Mani Acharya said that the Sapana Himdung and Thokar Construction Company has started works to complete the bridge construction by mid April 2018 as per the contract.

The newly-constructed bridge will be 174-metre long and will have six-metre breadth.

Bridge Construction Committee Vice-Chairperson Humnath Neupane said that as many as 50,000 people from Rampur, Sankhar, Sekham and Chapakot area will be benefitted from the construction of the bridge.
