Kathmandu, Aug. 25: The National Cooperatives Association has appealed to all its members to provide relief including in cash and kind for the support of the people affected by floods and landslides across the country.
The Association has opened bank accounts at National Cooperatives Bank, Rastriya Banijya Bank and Nepal Bank Limited for those wishing to contribute to the relief aid.
The aid collected thus would be handed over to the Prime Minister Natural Calamity Relief Fund, according to the Association Chair Keshav Badal.
The Association brings together some 4.4 million members affiliated to around 30,000 cooperatives institution across the country.
