Country Should Not Be Left In Captive: UML Vice-Chair Bhandari

Itahari, October 12:  Vice-chairwoman of the CPN (UML) Vidya Devi Bhandari has said that the country could not be held in captive by not promulgating a new constitution.

Speaking at a tea reception and greeting exchange programme organized at Khanara of Sunsari district today, leader Bhandari said that the new constitution should be promulgated at any cost.

She further said that the country should lead on the way to political stability and prosperity after holding local bodies’ election after promulgating a new constitution.

She further said that her party is committed to promulgate a new constitution from the Constituent Assembly and party has centred its all efforts for this purpose.

Similarly, she remembered the constitution drafting process in 2047 BS when a five-member commission was formed to draft the then constitution.
