Kathmandu, 29th January, 2015Â : The Czech Republic Minister for Industry and Commerce, Jan Mladek, has arrived in Kathmandu this morning on a two-day official visit, leading a 39-member delegation comprised of high-profiled businessmen.
He was received at Tribhuvan International Airport by joint secretary and Europe and US Division chief at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nirmal Raj Kafle and Honorary Consul General of the Czech Republic to Nepal, Vishnu Kumar Agrawal.
While in Nepal, the Czech Minister is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with Finance Minister Dr Ram Sharan Mahat prior to signing an agreement on bilateral cooperation today.
The Czech Republic has shown interest to enhance economic cooperation and investment in the infrastructure, hydropower and food sectors in Nepal.
During his two-day official visit, Minister Mladek is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, Minister for Energy Radha Gyawali, his counterpart Sunil Bahadur Thapa, Minister for Industry Mahesh Basnet, senior officials of Government of Nepal among others.
