Bhimduttanagar, Oct 30: As many as 54,971 students studying in various 261 community schools in Kanchannpur district have been recently benefitted from the government scholarship.
The District Education Office (DEO), Kanchanpur provided scholarships to the diligent, Dalit, freed Kamlari, Differently-able and girl students under the fiscal year 2071/072, according to the DEO, Kanchanpur.
Padamraj Bhatta, Information Officer at the DEO, Kanchanpur informed that a total of 1,573 differently-able students studying from class 1 to 10 were benefitted from the scholarship while 21,798 Dalit students received the scholarships.
Similarly, DEO, Kanchanpur has distributed scholarships to 30,021 girl students studying from class 1 to 8, shared Information Officer Bhatta.
Likewise, 563 freed Kamlaris and 68 conflict-hit students have benefitted from the scholarships.
In case of conflict-hit students, students below 18 years studying in both the community schools and private schools are eligible for the scholarship, added Bhatta.
Also, 948 diligent students studying in class seven, eight and nine were provided secondary level scholarship.
