Gajuri (Dhading), 27 Oct 2014: People from Kapur village of Lapa VDC in the northern belt of the district have collected money in the deusi programme in order to set up a school hostel.
The locals organized the deusi programme during the recent Tihar festival and collected Rs 41,770 to build a hostel for Timla Lower Secondary School, informed headmaster Bam Bahadur Tamang.
The women groups and Namaste rural development society had taken initiative for the deusi.
Meanwhile, the Himalayan Health Care has decided to provide some Rs 1.5 million for hostel construction.
According to the headmaster, the school could provide residential facilities to 100 students after the hostel is constructed.
