DEVOTEES THRONG PASHUPATINATH SINCE EARLY MORNING

Kathmandu, Aug. 28: Devotees and fasting women have been thronging Pashupatinath temple since early morning on the occasion of women’s festival Teej.

According to the member secretary of Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT), Dr. Govinda Tondon, three different routes have been arranged in view of the festival.

The first route begins from Bankali leading to the temple via the Dakhin Dhoka whereas the second one starts from Jaya Bageshawari and leads towards the west to the temple.

Likewise, the third route starts from Mitrapark, Gaurighat leading to the temple via Rudragadeshower towards the north to the temple.

Further, the coordinator of the Teej Management Committee, Taranath Subedi informed that no matter how long the queue of devotees is in these three routes, PADT has ensured that the devotees get to visit the shrine and worship it within half an hour. RSS
