The home district supports the duo with 14 lakh 33 thousand rupees
Jhapa, April 16, 2017: Dhurmus (Sitaram Kattel) and Suntali (Kunjana Ghimire) have been felicitated in their home district Jhapa.
The couple were feted by various organizations amidst a grand ceremony organized in Birtamode by Birta Jaycees.
Minister of General Administration as well as the Chief Guest for the ceremony, Keshav Kumar Budhathoki handed over the duo with a felicitation letter and medal.
On the occasion, various organizations from the district also handed over the couple with 14 lakh and 33 thousand rupees to support their campaign of building earthquake-resilient integrated settlements.
From the Dhurmus Suntali Foundation, the couple has already constructed integrated model settlements in Giranchaur of Sindhupalchowk and Bardibas of Mahottari.
On the occasion, Dhurmus shared that he felt proud for being honored in his home district in such a way. Similarly, Suntali said that the honor has made them continue such works further. “It has encouraged us to do even more of such works,” she said.
