Kathmandu, November 17, 2015:Â “Dialogue, Debate and Discussion (3D) for youth Leadership” training workshop has been organized by SAATH Nepal in 6 different districts. The project reaches out to more than 170 youths age 18-29 years in 6 different districts with 3D workshops.
The workshop aimed to disseminate positive information that will sensitize youth on issues such as constitution, inter-caste marriage, and Gender based violence which are concerning issues in todayâ€™s context of Nepal. By educating the participantsâ€™ on these issues which are taking place in their community, this workshop assist them to become a leader in their community to bring social change, encourage them to campaign on behalf of youth and enhance their leadership to instigate a sense of responsibility among the youth in civic issues and vulnerable groups for the protection of their rights.
A total of 24 Nuwakot youth participated in 3D workshopÂ from 21 â€“ 24 of September, 2015, 29 in Kavre. Two batch of workshop was conducted at Godavari Ashram from 3-7 Novemberwith 32 particpants and 8-11 November, 2015 with 34 participants. Youths from Bhaktapur, Patan and Kathmandu particpated.
The topics that this training workshop covered were meaning of youth and leadership in the community, community mapping and issues identifying in the community, forming youth clubs and conducting youth led campaigns.
So far , SAATH Nepal has organized its training workshop in Pokhara, Dhading, Kakani, Kavre, Kathmandu BhaktapurÂ with the young people aged between 18-29 years.
