International Young Researcher’s Symposium- Glocal Khabar

B.K. School of Business Management, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, India in association with International Youth Fellowship (IYF), South Korea had organized the third edition of a youth summit named, ‘International Young Researcher’s Symposium’ (iNYS) from 30 January to 31 January 2018 at Gujarat, India. This symposium was organized with the main theme of ‘Youth for Global Change; Initiatives for a Sustainable Development’.

I got an opportunity to participate and represent Nepal in the symposium along with two Nepalese delegates from International Youth Committee (IYC). This participation provided me with a proud feeling to represent my country. About two hundred youth participants from 15 countries were present in the symposium. Millenials across the globe bagged a platform for discovering, improving, innovating, identifying and sharing the ways to respond to the demands and gaps in different countries.  I got to know about the cross culture, customs, traditions and languages of different countries.

In the conference, I conversed about the current problems and obstacles of Nepalese youths. I focused on the subject of ‘Brain Drain’ being the major ongoing problem in youths of Nepal. Brain drain is an obstacle that has been hindering the sustainable development of our nation. In the discussion, I mentioned about the capability the youths of Nepal possess to showcase the best out of them. My major measure to this problem of brain drain is a collaborative effort that is enough to change the problems of the world.   This symposium helped me to gain more knowledge about the role of youth in sustainable development and the views, ideas, and problems of the youth of different countries.
