LONDON, November 4 2014: Two-time defending champion Novak Djokovicwill meet Stan Wawrinka in round-robin play at this year’s Barclays ATP World Tour Finals, to be held at The O2 in London from 9 November. Today’s draw ceremony at BBC Radio 5 Live studios, which was broadcast live, also pitted World No. 2 Federer with Kei Nishikori in Group B.
Djokovic, who takes a 27-match winning streak indoors into the tournament, seeks to become the fifth player in history to win the season finale title four times (or more). The Serbian won the Tennis Masters Cup Shanghai title in 2008 and at the event in London in 2012 and in 2013. He will play against Australian Open titlist Wawrinka,Tomas Berdych and US Open winner Marin Cilic in Group A.
Federer, the 2003-04, 2006-07, 2010-11 champion, has a 44-11 match record at the prestigious tournament having first qualified in 2002. The Swiss, who has won 82 titles, will meet first-time qualifiers Kei Nishikori andMilos Raonic in addition to Andy Murray in Group B. Raonic beat Federer en route to last week’s BNP Paribas Masters final.
The Finals will start on November 9th and end with the finals on November 16th. The group is set up as below.
