Kanchanpur, 26 Oct 2014: A Tharu language documentary named ‘Yi Kaisin Samaj’ was screened here raising awareness on the negative sides of the foreign employment.
The documentary screened for three days during the Tihar festival has described the plights, problems and agonies of the Nepali youths toiling abroad for livelihood. It was shown at Pipaladi of Kanchanpur.
The main character in the drama is an educated youth who opts for foreign job as ultimate step to earn money, but is forced to return empty handed, director Bishram Chaudhari said, “A youth goes abroad all on loan. He does not find the job he suits out of the country and returns home with plights and agonies. Then he tells other youths not go abroad merely dreaming a good job and handsome earning but witnesses the reality within the country.”
The message is clear: Only foreign employment is not the ultimate means to earn money. Educated youth can search or create jobs within the country and live dignified lives rather than suffering abroad.
The play will be screened in different parts of the Tarai districts, informed the director.
