DPM GAUTAM DIRECTS SECURITY OFFICIALS TO MAINTAIN LAW AND ORDER IN DISTRICT

Pokhara, Aug. 6: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Bamdev Gautam has directed the chiefs of security bodies to discharge their duties without being influenced from any political party, leader, power and side to maintain law and order in the districts.

Addressing the western regional level seminar on security organized by the Home Ministry here on Wednesday, Gautam urged the security officials to fulfill their duties being impartial to win the faith of locals and ensure justice to the people.

Saying that security officials should leave no stone unturned in crime control, the Home Minister said that actions should be forwarded in a strong manner as per the law so that the crime related activities would be subdued. He also asked the security officials to be dedicated to the people’s services through maximum utilization of available means and resources and their experiences, skills and capacity.

The Home Minister also said that threat in security situation could loom large before the promulgation of new constitution and even after promulgation of new constitution and directed the security bodies’ chiefs to develop necessary security strategy by making a pre-analysis of the security threats.

Chief district officers of 16 districts of the western region and district chiefs of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and National Investigation Office as well as zonal and regional chiefs of the Nepal Police were present in the one-day seminar.
