Gorkhabazaar, 2nd February, 2015 :Â The historical Gorkhadurbar, Kalika temple and Gorakhnath cave are facing acute shortage of drinking water these days.
With the acute shortage of drinking water, different activities including pooja performance, cultural rituals and daily maintenance works are also adversely affected, said Ganesh Bhattarai official at the durbar.
About 500 people daily visit the durbar and temple areas but they are facing difficulties due to shortage of water facility, he added.
Similarly, the water shortage has adversely affected the Nepal Army camp that is assigned to maintain the security of the durbar areas.
However, the District Drinking Water and Sanitation Division Office, has stated that a new drinking water project is under construction aiming to solve the problem.
Engineer Indra Pratap Bohara at the office said that with the completion of the project, there would be no water scarcity in the days ahead.
