Kathmandu, August 27, 2017: ‘Dhritarashtra’, a novel by Ghanashyam Kandel has won Madan Puraskar for the year 2017. Madan Puraskar Guthi announced the winner issuing a press release today.
‘Dhritarastra’ was selected for the prize from among nine shortlisted books.
Similarly, Durga Baral, popularly known as Batsayan, is to be honored with Jagadamba Shree Puraskar recognizing his contribution to Nepali society and literature through cartoons.
The winners will be honored amidst a special function on Sept 22, 2017, and awarded a cash prize of Rs 200,000 each.
