Eight more schools in Myagdi connected to e-library

Kathmandu, May 7, 2018: Students from eight more schools have now an access to e-library in Myagdi district thanks to acampaign by Myagdi Overseas Nepalese Asssociation(MONA). MONA is an organization of people from Myagdi district who are working abroad.

Previously, MONA had also helped to set up e-library facility in 25 schools in Myagdi district.

Some of the schools which already had this privilege of e-library concept are Kisani Secondary School, Bim, Rastriya Secondary School, Neptechour, Janapriya Basic School, Baranja, Mahendra Ratna Basic School, Baranja, Himanchal Secondary School, Nagi, Bishnu Rastriya Basic School, Kimchour, Beni Community School and Saraswoti Secondary School, Singa.

Chakra Bahadur Thapa, Chairperson of MONA said that funds for this initiative were collected through the campaign on ‘Facebook’. An action plan by MONA aims to set up e-libraries in 232 schools in the district, he added.

The concept was launched last year in collaboration with Nepal Library Foundation and Non-Resident Nepali Association with a prime objective of spreading the extensive support of information technology to the rural communities as there is a direct need of it.  This initiative could be a step forward for all round development of students who will able to deliver the best out of them contributing the society and their nation as well.
