Kathmandu, April 8, 2018: Kathmandu school Kanjirowa National Secondary School students artwork set to land on the moon which was announced on April 7, 2018.
The artefact will be taken to the surface on the moon by Astrobotic Technologies Peregrine lander, flown abroad United Launch Alliance’s Atlas V rocket, both American companies, in the year 2020 as following to Chairman of the school, Kapil Dev Regmi.
Mr Regmi also said that the art represents Nepal’s unique identity which is very symbolic and it represents Nepal and that replica of the artwork was also handed over to the US Embassy by Kanjirowa students in between programme which was organized on Karkhana premises, Gyaneshwar.
Additionally, just before the same was handed over to the Giriraj Mani Pokharel, Minister of Education, Science and Technology at Singha Durbar during the programme.
Nepal first ever objects which was designed by Bipina Sharma, Kanjirowa school is very proud to send on the moon.
Kanjirowa’s tireless effort and contribution to STEM education and appreciated the support of Kronmiller family in this regard. And later, Regmi further expressed his strong interest to work together with the Minister and STEM project collaboration.
It has been the first school in Nepal to introduce this high-technology-oriented curriculum.
The initiation of Michael Kronmiller has introduced STEM education to Kanjirowa.
As the Government of Nepal had taken STEM education positively.
