Kathmandu, November 7, 2017: Lord Buddha Education Foundation (LBEF) conducted internship training program to fourth semester students from 11-24 October, 2017. The training program was designed for BSCIT and BBM fourth semester students by Glocal After School (GAS).
The program focused on developing soft skills to students and prepare them for the internship, and bridge gap between academics and corporate world and prepare students to make market ready through soft skills. The training included CV making, writing proposal, presentations, work ethics and mock interview session.
CV making training was the first among the series of workshops. Mr. Prayas Rajopadhyaya, Senior Management Consultant at Job Dynamics was the lead facilitator for the session.
Similarly, communication training was conducted in the next session. Structures, types, contents, do’s and don’ts of communication was delivered in the workshop. Moreover, communication related to official emails and oral communication tactics were given to students
Likewise, the students learned to create professional and effective presentations in the next session with tips and techniques of making presentation, methods preparation speaking, body language while presenting, building confidence and control.
A workshop on work ethics was held next. The workshop focused on developing critical thinking, creative and problem-solving skills, dealing with people, knowing the code of ethics, and making decisions on what is right.
Mock interview was the final step of the internship program where students did face interviews among the panels of HR managers from diverse companies including Turkish Airlines, NE Hub, Siddhartha Group of Hotels, Team Quest, and Young Innovation Pvt. Ltd among others.
All the participating students were felicitated with certificates after the successful completion of the workshop, in the presence of Mr. Pankaj Jalan, Executive Director of LBEF, Mr. Prakash Kejriwal, Principal of LBEF, Mr. Asish Thakur, Executive Director of Glocal Pvt. Ltd., and Ms. Alina Prajapati, General Manager of Glocal Pvt. Ltd.
