Private schools in Rautahat running classes without permission

Kathmandu, May 4, 2018: Scores of private schools in Rautahat district have been found to be running classes without obtaining permission from concerned authorities.

Schools including Sagarmatha Boarding School, New Hope Boarding School, Camps Boarding School and Gurukul Boarding Schools have started running classes upto grade VII even though they had received permission to run classes upto grade I.

According to the sources, Bal Academy, Lucky Academy and Goreto Academy are among dozens of Schools who are operating without permissions.

Galaxy Boarding School has enrolled students up to class 10 in its first year into operation.

According to the ninth amendment of the education act, an school coming into operation can conduct classes only upto class I in its first year and upgrade on an yearly basis.

Even though the complaints have increased, the concerned authorities are yet to respond, the sources added.

The gaur municipality has issued a public notice urging the respective schools to stop cheating the parents and vowed to penalize them if they don’t abide. Meanwhile, PABSON has demanded an inspection of these schools and proper actions be undertaken.
