Students in Dadeldhura receive solar lamps to help in capacity development

Kathmandu, June 27, 2018: Students in Dadeldhura have been provided with solar lamps for capacity development in their studies. A total of 594 students from Amargadhi and Nabadurga Municipality of the district were received solar lamps.

The lamps were provided under the educational illumination programme of Alternate energy promotion centre. He also added the students with poor economic conditions were chosen for the distribution of those lamps. The solar lamps were distributed among the students from all the six secondary schools in Amargadhi and two of them Nabadurga Municipality.

The solar lamps can illuminate two light bulbs and has a warranty of one year. The solar lamp cost around Rs4000 rupees per piece in the market, shared Lalmani Panta, a representatives from the Alternative Energy Promotion Centre.
