Dang, December 7, 2016: The District Education Office (DEO) Dang has vowed to send the teachers who have been clinging to the city schools to remote villages to adjust the vacant posts.

Education Officer, Ramesh Prasad Mainali, said the teachers will be transferred to the villages of the district in order to fill up the vacant posts and adjust the number of teachers in community schools of the district.

During an inspection of the community schools, the DEO found out that many schools had vacant official status of teachers while such posts were yet to be created in other schools. In the community schools based at the district headquarters however, the teachers’ numbers are higher in proportion to that of the student population.

The teachers do not want to be transferred to rural sectors and cling on to the city life with help of political backing.

Mainali added that the teachers union and associations will be consulted before any decision is taken to fill up the vacant posts and transfer the teachers to rural hinterlands.
