Kathmandu, September 21, 2016: Edushala in partnership with Red Mud Café and QFX Cinemas recently conducted a Game of Thrones (GoT) Trivia Contest. The questions for the quiz were based on the HBO mega fantasy series itself.
As part of the contest, the ravens were sent to the great houses of Westeros –Baratheon, Greyjoys, Lannisters, Starks, and Targayren to claim the Iron Throne. The houses heeded the call and showed their presence at the council – the Baratheons: Zubin and Supriya; Greyjoys: Bibek and Sagar; Lannisters: Sachin and Anurodh; Starks: Akshath and Bimarsha and Targayren: Prassidha and Prashant. This battle for the Iron Throne was not the trial by combat, but a trial of wits.
The battle of the great houses, hosted by Ms. Priyanka, a GoT nerd herself; was competed in five rounds of combat of wits.
The house that stood tall at the end was the Starks represented by Akshath Chhetri and Bimarsha Kalikote. The winners claimed the Iron Throne and GoT goodies and also took away with free tickets of QFX Cinemas.
Along with the quiz, ‘Do It Yourself’ workshops for kids were also held on the occasion and sought to promote DIY by creating GoT decors and items.
It was a good week for the Game of Thrones (GoT) fans as the Emmy Awards turned out splendidly for GoT and its cast and crew. The season 7 of the series is set to premier later this year.
