May 24, 2015: Efforts to include Solukhumbu as quake-affected district has been assured by Minister for Irrigation NP Saud.
While taking stock of quake-triggered physical and human loss and monitoring of search, rescue and relief operations on saturday in Solukhumbu district Minister Saud said that efforts would be made to deploy a technical team to study the quake-affected areas which are at high risk of landslide as well.
Minister Saud was briefed about the search, resuce and relief operations underway in the district on the occasion by Chief District Officer and District Natural Disaster Relief Coordination Committee Chairperson Jhanka Nath Dhakal. Also, Constituent Assembly member Bal Bahadur KC warned that dire consequences complaining lack of uniformity in relief distribution due to the uneven distribution of relief assistance in Solukhumbu.
