Kathmandu,7 December,2014:Â The 11th iteration of the Kathmandu College of Management Inter College Music Competition (KCM ICMC) kicked off on December 5 at Bhrikutimandap,Kathmandu. During the event, Mukti and Revivalâ€™s drummer Nikhil Tuladhar, Tumbleweed Incâ€™s guitarist Sharad Shrestha and Jindabaadâ€™s bassist Bijay Shrestha will be judging more than 35 bands who will participate in the event. The bands hail from Kathmandu , Bhairahawa, Pokhara and Dharan.
â€œICMC has become a brand in itself. We promised bigger, louder and better this year, and we are delivering it. We have a large number of bands participating and the audience turnover is amazing. We hope to set new standards in the finals. Come to witness musical brilliance,â€ said Samir Bidari, head of the organising committee. A compilation album will be launched for the winners of the event, with three songs from the winning band, one song from the first runner up and one song chosen by the judges.
The ICMC grand finale will be held at the Jawlakhel grounds on December 20. Renowned Nepali bands like Mukti and Revival, X Mantra, Monkey Temple, The Exorcist, Vomiting Snakes, Narsamahar, Ember Eyes and the 10th KCM ICMC winner Breach not Broken will be performing in the finals.
