17 November,2014: Starring Annu Kapoor, Piyush Mishra, Anupam Kher and Lisa Haydon in lead roles and with Akshay Kumar making a special appearance, ‘The Shaukeens’ is a remake of Basu Chatterjee’s classic by the same name.
The film did not manage to pick up on its second Saturday. According to a report on koimoi.com, the film earned Rs. 1 crore on its second Saturday, thus taking The Shaukeens’ total collection to Rs. 30 crores at the domestic box office. Further to reports, the film did not pick up in urban centre.
