EU Film Festival set to start in Kumari on 20 May

Kathmandu, May 17, 2017: The 6th iteration of the EU Film Festival is all set to begin on May 20 at the QFX Kumari Hall in the Capital. The fest aims to further deepen the understanding and ties between Nepal and the countries in Europe.

Over the duration of 3 days, the festival will see screenings of a total of 16 films from 13 European countries.

The fest will open on Friday, May 19, with the screening of German film Swallows & Amazons, a family adventure film from UK. Similarly, Big Game, a 2014 Finnish action adventure film that was premiered at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival would also screened as part of the festival.

Dream Team 1935 is another notable film on the fest that tells the story about the Latvian basketball team, which won the first-ever European Championships in 1935 and its enthusiastic head coach Valdemars Baumanis.

The entry to the festival is free for public.
