Event being organized in Kathmandu to aware about internet safety for children

Kathmandu, August 29, 2017: UNICEF Nepal in coordination with Nepal Telecom Authority, Facebook and various other partners is all set to organize a unique program, Net4Good, on September 2, Saturday.

Net4Good is an initiative to make people aware about the opportunities and risks of the Internet.

Navigating the Internet safely requires understanding the impact of our online activities, being careful of what we share and also supporting one another. So, this program aims to increase awareness about the available resources to help make informed choices while surfing the Internet safely.

The fair will have trainings on online safety conducted by Facebook, panel discussion covering issues like technology for good, online safety for children, and being a good digital citizen. Likewise, some popular Nepalese celebrities will share their experience in virtual life, the challenges they face and how to tackle it. The event will also be having stalls from various governmental and non-governmental organizations, food stalls, robots display etc.

The event is open for all children and their parents.
