May 15, 2015: Rainfall with thunderstorm is expected in the evening. Mainly in the Eastern and Central part of the country the moisture-laden wind originating in the Arabian Sea is likely to cause rainfall during the evening.
“The weather is cloudy in the Eastern and Central parts of the country, which is likely to result in shower and the rainfall with thunderstorm is expected in the country today evening”, said Meteorologist Samir Shrestha.
As per the source the water vapour from the South Western part of the Arabian Sea is known to have entered Nepal via the Indian states of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
But the weather in the Terai areas in the Western and Far-Western region of the country is expected to remain clear however the mountainous areas of these regions will remain partly cloudy due to the change in the weather as per the Meteorological Forecasting Division.
Similarly those in the quake-hit districts are advised by the weather forecaster not to panic by rainfall relating it with earthquake and further added that the frequent aftershocks as the rainfall is a natural phenomena during the pre-monsoon.
