Fashion demons in your wardrobe; one should know

June 25, 2015: Fashion trends can never be avoided but there are some of the trends that can actually harm our health.

Some of the fashion accessories such as skinny jeans, high heels, corsets, neck ties and body piercing are the fashion demons that are waiting to attack in your wardrobe.

Who wouldn’t opt for skinny jeans?  There are always women and girls who will wear very tight jeans, and there have been for decades. According to a recent report, a 35-year-old lady’s legs went numb while she was wearing skinny jeans and doctors had to rip her jeans off due to her swelled legs.

High heels are the accessories never missed by the fashionistas. But as far as high heels are concerned, foot doctors say that the higher the heel on the shoe the more weight is pushed forward onto the balls of the feet, which can cause pain and can even affect the spine.

Corsets (garment worn to hold and train the torso into a desired shape for aesthetic or medical purposes), which are the Kardashian clan’s obsession, can actually cause breathing problems and can damage ribs.

Some small evidence suggests wearing a neck tie i.e. too tight could raise intracranial pressure and possibly increase blood pressure in the eyes to unsafe levels. Moreover, a report states that, about 20% of body piercings are affected by bacterial infections which cause allergies.
