4,931 students graduate at Pokhara University convocation

Pokhara, February 20, 2017: The Pokhara University on Monday organised its 14thconvocation ceremony, in which a total of 4,931 students graduated.

The students from 47 programmes under four faculties received certificates for their Bachelor’s, Master’s, M Phil and Ph D degrees.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari also attended the special function.

Speaking on the occasion, President Bhandari urged the university to produce more qualitative and professional human resources to meet market needs in international market.

She also urged the graduates to be more loyal towards their nation and contribute to the development of nation, rather than searching opportunities abroad.

The President also said Nepal had a lot of potential in tourism, herbal trade, hydro power and agriculture and youth should find these areas as their future opportunities.

Similarly, Minister for Education and Pro-Chancellor of the university, Dhaniram Paudel said the university should provide quality education as per the current context so that Nepali students could  sell their skills around the world.
