Dolpa, 10 Dec 2014 : The administrative tasks in the District Administration Office (DAO) have been halted for more than two weeks in absence of Chief District Officer (CDO) in Dolpa district.

The CDO, Krishna Prasad Khanal, whose presence is not felt in the office for two weeks has caused grave inconvenience to the locals. Thronging the DAO to seek the administrative assistance in issuing citizenship certificate, recommendation letter for passport and the like.

Furthermore, the absence of the Assistant Chief District Officer has also added to the inconvenience. The office is now run by the office assistants.

People coming to DAO, covering long miles from the remote VDCs of the district, have been returning home empty-hand with no authority available in the office.

It takes four to five days of walk from VDCs as Charka, Tinje, Mukot, Dho, Kaigaun among others to reach the district Headquarters Dunai.
