COLOMBO, November 24 2014: Aizaz Khan’s 21*(28) and T20 debutant Anas Khan’s 21(31) takes Hong Kong 1-0 up in the series against Nepal after the 4th T20 of the 5 match series. It took Hong Kong 19.5 overs to achieve the 73 runs target, Hong Kong scored 73/8 in 19.5 overs to Nepal’s 72 all-out in 20 overs.

Captain of both side went for a duck, Nepali captain Paras Khadka went on the first ball, while Hong Kong captain JJ Atkinson went in the second ball. There were total of 3 ducks in the Hong Kong inning with Babar Hayat out on the second ball and KD Shah couldn’t open his account in the 10 balls before getting out.

This was the first match in the 5 match series that took place as the first three were wiped out due to rain without a ball being bowled. Sompal Kami’s 40(31) gave allowed Nepal a fighting chance when Nepal were 25/8 in the twelfth over.

Shakti Gauchan and Sagar Pun took 2 wicket each at 4-0-10-2 and 4-0-11-2 respectively which allowed Nepal a little hope before Hong Kong took the game away in the penultimate over.

Hong Kong had won the toss and elected to field first. Nepal put up 72 in the first inning which had a lot of collapses in between before Gauchan and Kami saved the embarrassment for Nepal. Hong Kong also had to make a steep climb to get the 73 in the allotted 20 overs before the Aizaz and Anas Khan took Hong Kong across the line.

The series is going on in Sri Lanka, a neutral venue for both of these team.
